Installation at an authorized auto service is highly recommended.
To retrofit the 1990-2006 models, you need to replace the headlight bowl with the larger 2007-later headlight bowl. Additionally, the modification/wiring of the electrical parts (mirrors, headlights, taillights) is required by a specialized auto electrician.
Regarding the mirrors, if the car is not equipped with certain functions the cables for them will not be used, for some models it may be necessary to replace the mirror cap with a model from 2007 onwards.
